New Town Hall, Kurikka
The City of Kurikka in western Finland is organising a general architecture competition for the design of the new building of the Kurikka town hall.
The city administration, which is currently scattered in different locations, will be centralised in the new building and public spaces open to the city's residents will be placed. The goal of the competition is to find a high-level and feasible solution in terms of cityscape and architecture, where the aesthetic, functional, technical-economical and sustainable development goals are solved in a balanced and feasible way. The competition area is centrally located in the center of Kurikka, and the purpose of the competition is also to update and enliven the general appearance of the central area of Kurikka and to strengthen the urban structure.

Consultant Team
The competition is implemented in cooperation with the Finnish Architects' Association and in accordance with the association's competition rules. The competition is a general architecture competition open to everyone. Individuals and work groups can participate in the competition. At least one person belonging to the working group must have the right to practice the profession of architect in their own country.
