Lennard Arms Hotel
The tender invites submissions for the renovation and adaptive reuse of the derelict Lennard Arms Hotel in Clones into a heritage and exhibition space celebrating local cultural history.
The project comprises the renovation and transformation of the historic Lennard Arms Hotel, a Protected Structure, into a high-quality heritage exhibition and visitor space. Located prominently within Clones' historic core, adjacent to important heritage sites like the Round Tower and the 'Wee Abbey', the scheme will involve sensitive conservation, internal reconfiguration, and selective demolition of twentieth-century additions. The programme includes refurbishing the existing hotel, constructing new internal galleries, restoring adjacent outbuildings along Annalore Street, and enhancing the public realm through landscaping and universal access features. The aim is to catalyse tourism, provide interpretative content on local heritage, and contribute to the regeneration of Clones town centre.
