Deeside Police Station
North Wales Police is seeking an architect-led team for a new-build police station in Deeside, including temporary facilities, demolition, and construction.
The project involves the complete redevelopment of the existing Deeside Police Station site. The works will be delivered as a capital project in three main phases: establishing a temporary police station on site, demolishing the existing station, and constructing a new, modern, and sustainable police station. The building is to be designed in line with the All-Wales Sustainability & Decarbonisation Strategy, aiming for low-carbon performance and incorporating policies on energy efficiency, airtightness, bilingual signage, and secure-by-design principles. The architect will act as lead consultant, coordinating with separately appointed M&E, Principal Designer/Health & Safety, and Quantity Surveying consultants. The design will be fully developed before tender, then novated to the design-and-build contractor.
