Carlow Council Energy Retrofit Framework
Carlow County Council is tendering for a energy retrofit framework for a range of their buildings, starting with the VISUAL Centre of Contemporary Art & The George Bernard Shaw Theatre.
Carlow County Council are committed to Ireland’s target of a 51% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050. This tender forms part of the programme and seeks to deliver sustainable upgrades to public sector buildings under the ownership of Carlow County Council. Retrofit projects across Carlow have estimated works values ranging from between €50k to €1.6m representing a mix of medium to large scale retrofitting works.
The design project management team will lead the design of retrofit solutions, oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary teams ensuring that the design meets the performance targets, ensure compliance with relevant standards and sustainability goals in accordance with the scope of services detailed within the project execution plans and capital works management framework. The Consultant will be required to provide services for stages (i) – (v) of the Capital Works Management Framework or a subset thereof.

It is anticipated that the framework will be established with five appointed firms.
Minimum €500k turnover for the last three financial years.
