The London Borough of Bromley is required to provide sufficient pupil places to meet the need of the increase in the number of children and young people in Bromley with an Educational Heath and Care Plan (EHCP). To meet the ongoing demand for provision of this type of accommodation and need, the authority is looking to provide a new 200 place Special Education Needs (SEN) secondary school.
As part of the work the successful Consultant will be required to undertake an options appraisal, with a view to undertake a full RIBA assessment and feasibility of the site, that will provide the best economically viable solution for the pupils, school, and the authority.
A comprehensive feasibility will be required to identify what facilities will be needed for the new school. The London Borough of Bromley and (when appointed post feasibility) the school/trust would require input into the design proposals.
