Scadenza 09 giu 2026.
The Gerhart-Hauptmann-Stiftung is initiating a major renovation project for the historic Gerhart Hauptmann House on Hiddensee, Germany. The house, along with other buildings, has been in continuous use, leading to a substantial backlog of necessary repairs and upgrades. The project aims to address this by undertaking a fundamental renovation of the building envelope and internal structure. A key aspect involves expanding the current crawl space into a full basement, which will also necessitate reinforcing the building's previously inadequate foundations. All building services systems are slated for complete renewal. Special care will be taken in the museum areas of the interior, where highly sensitive, minimally invasive methods will be employed to preserve valuable original surfaces. Furthermore, materials removed during the exterior renovation, such as roof tiles, plinth clinker, and windows, are intended for reuse. The project also includes spatial adjustments for residential and administrative areas. This comprehensive undertaking builds upon previous planning work, including structural and technical concepts developed in 2020, and will involve detailed architectural, structural, and technical building equipment planning services.
