The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants for design and construction administration services for the new Health Innovation and Research (HTEC) Building at the State University of New York at Albany. This approximately 63,000 GSF multi-story facility will serve as a dynamic, multidisciplinary hub for advancing research, education, and innovation in health sciences and technology. It will integrate diverse fields such as biology, chemistry, engineering, public health, and nursing, fostering interdisciplinary education and workforce development. The project aims to strengthen partnerships with regional stakeholders, including healthcare systems, biotechnology companies, and the New York State Department of Health. Located adjacent to the Science Library, the building will feature chemistry and biology laboratories, support spaces, and classrooms. Additionally, the project includes a geothermal wellfield and heat pump equipment, with basement space reserved for future campus thermal energy network infrastructure.
