Cairo Design Week 2026 transforms the city into a sprawling canvas of creativity, where architects and designers can explore how heritage, materiality and urban identity intersect. Through immersive installations, site-specific exhibitions and public programmes across Heliopolis, Zamalek, Downtown and other design districts, the event investigates how architecture and design respond to history, climate, typology and civic life. Workshops and talks address material innovation, adaptive reuse, spatial justice and local craft, prompting a dialogue between past and future built form. The festival positions design not just as object or style, but as a form of cultural infrastructure shaping place and people.
