The International Architecture Awards are dedicated to the recognition of excellence in architecture and urbanism from a global point-of-view. Deadline 1 December 2026
The International Architecture Awards is a prestigious annual programme honouring architectural excellence worldwide. Organised jointly by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, it recognises exceptional buildings, landscape architecture and urban planning projects; both built and unbuilt.
Open to architects and firms globally, the awards span a broad range of project types from airports and cultural buildings to public spaces and residential work. Winners are selected by an expert international jury and celebrated for visionary thinking, innovation and impact on people, communities and the environment.

Eligibility
All submissions must be the work of international architects and architectural firms either working nationally or internationally for projects both in their respective countries and abroad. U.S. architecture firms headquartered inside or outside the United States are eligible to enter projects built or to be built, in the U.S. and around the world.
- Built or unbuilt worldwide, designed or built after January 1, 2025.
- Unbuilt projects are eligible only when a client is named.
- Previously awarded buildings are not eligible.

Submission
Submissions made online must be in .zip or .rar format. They can have up to eight (8) images (300dpi. 10 x 10cm minimum, in .jpeg pr .tiff up to 6mb per file), a one page description in MS Word or .pdf, PLUS one .pdf file containing all plans sections and elevations. The maximum size of the .zip or .rar file is 20mb.
Mailed in submissions must include the following on one CD: Copy of the on-line application form; fee; and one-page description in MS Word; up to eight (8) images (300 dpi, 10x10cm minimum, jpg, jpeg or tiff format bmb maximum size) PLUS one .pdf file containing all plans sections and elevations. Attach list of additional consultants. Application fee is €395 per project. Call or email us for information regarding electronic transfer. If you apply on-line there is no need to send a hard copy of the CD.
