Urban Development Ostfeld, Wiesbaden
Wiesbaden, Germany, moves forward with the Ostfeld urban development, creating new transport infrastructure and external access for the area. Deadline 02 Oct 2026
The urban development project in Wiesbaden's Ostfeld district requires comprehensive external access solutions to connect the area efficiently to the existing transport network. This involves the construction of various infrastructure elements across three key points. Point A includes two roundabouts at the Wiesbaden-Erbenheim-Nord / B455 junction. Point B focuses on the northern access road, incorporating a temporary construction site connection and a cycle path. Point C addresses the southern access road, extending to the Ländchesbahn railway stop. These plans are based on current development layouts, integrated traffic studies for Ostfeld, and detailed performance verifications and microsimulations. The overall objective is to develop the necessary object planning for approval, tendering, and construction. This includes adapting to adjacent traffic areas, drainage systems, road-side landscaping, temporary traffic management during construction, and pedestrian and cycle paths. The project aims to integrate these new facilities seamlessly into the wider urban fabric.
