The competition, organised by Miasto Gliwice, aims to develop a comprehensive concept for the "Victoria Culture Quarter" in Gliwice, Poland. This initiative is divided into two main parts: a realisation phase focusing on the expansion of the Victoria Theatre Ruins, and a study phase. The study phase involves the urban development of the area around Barlickiego 3 street, including a section of Aleja Przyjaźni located between Zwycięstwa and Dworcowa streets, as well as the courtyard of the Youth Culture Centre. The detailed scope of the competition is outlined in the Competition Regulations, which also specify the requirements for participants and the evaluation criteria. The project seeks innovative architectural and urban planning solutions that integrate functional and landscape connections, enhance public spaces, and consider the needs of diverse users, while preserving the character of existing structures and incorporating sustainable design principles.
