The scope includes the demolition and disposal of an existing \"Magic Carpet\" roll-out turf system, followed by the preparation and levelling of the concrete slab. A key component is the installation of a prefabricated, factory-manufactured vulcanised rubber indoor athletic track surface, certified by World Athletics. The completed facility will feature a six-lane flat track oval, an eight-lane 60-meter sprint area, a five-lane warm-up area, high jump and throwing areas, along with all necessary striping and event markings. The university is separately procuring a portable banked track system, which the new flat track surface must fully support.
