A private client seeks proposals for a contemporary observation tower on Latvia's Livonian Coast, near Cape Kolka, where forests, dunes and the Baltic shoreline form one of the country's quietest landscapes. Rather than creating a conventional tourist attraction, the project explores architecture as a retreat that encourages reflection, observation and immersion in nature. The competition challenges participants to redefine the observation tower as a spatial experience rather than a vertical landmark.
