The project involves the preparation of multi-disciplinary project documentation and author's supervision services for the adaptation of a former student dormitory into an educational and training centre in Zabrze, Poland.
The current tender seeks the adaptation of a former student dormitory building into the Centre for Innovative Medical Didactics in Zabrze. It involves the comprehensive development of multi-disciplinary design documentation, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems. The design must ensure the functional transformation of the building into a modern educational facility equipped with specialist simulation and teaching spaces, while complying with current accessibility standards, energy efficiency requirements, and heritage conservation regulations where applicable. The scope also includes securing the necessary building permits and performing author’s supervision during construction. This investment is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (2021–2027) and aims to support the Śląski Uniwersytet Medyczny’s strategy of enhancing clinical education through state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Submission Criteria
Minimum of 3 teams will be invited to the next competition stage.
Qualification Deliverables:
– Formal application (using the official template),
– Declaration of non-exclusion (JEDZ),
– Confirmation of technical experience:
– Minimum of two projects of public utility buildings,
– Minimum 2,000 m² usable area per project,
– Projects must have secured building permits,
– Projects must involve mechanical and electrical engineering (including low-voltage systems),
– At least one project must relate to a building listed as a historic monument or located in a conservation area,
– Confirmation of team members’ qualifications.
Stage 2 Deliverables:
A written analysis of:
– Project description and requirements (OPZ),
– Proposed contract terms (Wzór Umowy).
