Designed to serve a forecast population of 18,000 residents, the leisure centre is co-located with the future Neighbourhood Health Centre and other community facilities. The centre will include a six-lane 25m pool, learner pool with moveable floor, large gym, fitness studios, shared changing, and a multi-use social area. The project will be developed up to RIBA Stage 3 with an expected transition to a Design and Build contract. The design must reflect environmental performance aspirations (BREEAM Excellent), community integration, and Sport England compliance.
