This project will replace the existing, outdated facility and ensure long-term childcare provisions by creating a modern, barrier-free, and inclusive building for five groups, with the flexibility for a sixth group expansion. The design prioritises sustainability, aiming for a CO2-reducing construction method with excellent thermal performance for both summer and winter. Energy supply will explore options like heat pumps and connection to the planned local district heating network. The building will be designed to meet Germany\u2019s 2030 zero-emission standard, incorporating a sustainable ventilation and heating concept. A key feature is the multi-purpose movement room, which will also serve external community groups outside of the centre's operating hours. The project is expected to commence in 2027 and be completed by the end of 2029. Architectural services will cover all phases (LPH 1-9 HOAI), with a phased award approach for design and execution.
