The proposed site, located at the car park on Jubilee Way, Cox Lane, will house the expanded fleet for AfC SEN Transport services. This project is crucial for relocating the service from its current site to facilitate future development and accommodate the necessary growth of the fleet. The Council has already completed initial capacity drawings, a preliminary cost estimate, and a strategic brief (RIBA stage 0), which indicated the site's potential to meet user requirements. The selected architect will further develop the feasibility study up to and including RIBA stage 2, enabling the Council to prepare a comprehensive business case and make an informed decision on progressing the project beyond this initial feasibility phase. There is an option to extend the appointment for further stages if the Council decides to proceed with the full construction.
