To support this, the Council requires a comprehensive Green Infrastructure Strategy. This strategy will provide a robust evidence base, establishing the existing green infrastructure baseline, assessing the impacts of planned growth, and identifying priorities for mitigation, enhancement, and investment. The commission involves specialist professional planning, green infrastructure, environmental, and GIS consultancy services. Key outputs include a baseline assessment and mapping, a draft and final Green Infrastructure Strategy, a delivery plan, and policy recommendations. The work must align with the Devon Local Nature Recovery Strategy and be structured to be usable by successor authorities following Local Government Reorganisation in April 2028.
