The project's core objectives include redesigning and optimising office and workplace areas, aiming for flexible usage concepts and an increase from 84 to at least 90 workstations. The scheme will also incorporate new common and social areas for staff, enhance accessibility throughout the building for the six municipal departments, and establish five new faction rooms alongside two new meeting halls. These will comprise a large hall accommodating 24 council members, administration, press, and citizens, plus a smaller hall for nine committee members. A significant focus is placed on a comprehensive energetic refurbishment to current legal standards and a crucial fire protection upgrade, including the creation of a second emergency exit for the entire building.
