Participants will have the opportunity to design and model their very own tortoise house using recycled materials. The workshop encourages creative problem-solving by asking attendees to consider the specific needs and preferences of their 'client,' Ian the Tortoise, whether designing a cozy hibernation home or a beautiful summer shelter. This hands-on activity provides a practical introduction to design principles in a fun, accessible format for all ages. The Tortoise Town event is structured into two distinct sessions on 18 August. A morning session, running from 11:00 to 12:30, is specifically designed to be neurodivergent-friendly, requiring pre-booked tickets. An afternoon drop-in session from 14:00 to 15:30 offers flexibility for spontaneous participation, with availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Both sessions are suitable for children aged 3 years and above, with the expectation that all children will be actively accompanied and supervised by a parent or carer, who are also encouraged to engage in the creative process. This workshop offers practical insights into client-led design, material reuse, and architectural problem-solving, directly applicable to your design practice in a simplified, family-friendly context.

["GET
