The existing 1983 building, which accommodates the St. Ruppert School for students with intellectual disabilities, a therapeutic day care centre, a preparatory facility, and an integrated kindergarten, will be demolished. The project includes preparing the ground for the new build, updating public utility connections, and utilising existing infrastructure. The scope of services involves architectural planning for outdoor areas (phases 1-9 as per HOAI 2021), encompassing required traffic route construction and defect monitoring during the warranty period. The outdoor design will feature a spacious garden, play equipment, courtyards for breaks, and fenced sports facilities, including a grass pitch, all-weather pitch, long jump, and running track. Some existing greenery will be preserved and complemented with new plantings. Optional planning for a temporary container facility may be required to ensure continuous school operations if alternative accommodation is unavailable during construction.
