Qualification for a design competition to adapt and extend a museum in Vienna's cultural MuseumsQuartier.
Adaptation and expansion of existing building for museum purposes for the House of Austrian History in the MuseumsQuartier, and the planning of a new rehearsal stage for the Jungle Vienna. The new exhibition space will cover approximately 3,000sqm. The premises has a listed historical wooden roof structure which cannot be altered. There is scope to build an extension in the inner courtyard.

Submission Criteria
12 applicants will be selected for the second stage. The client has provided an expense allowance of EUR 8,400 for all participants in the competition.
Qualification Submission
– Applicant information, bidding model and declarations
– Annual turnover of at least €1m
– €550k PII
– Reference project of a similar complexity, with a value of at least €5m from the last 10 years. Must be completed.

– Axonometrics and sketches to explain idea
