Two stage tender for the design of a new research building at the University of Antwerp's Campus Drie Eiken.
The current accommodation of the Department of Biology with its research groups is fragmented over different buildings and campuses and does not offer sufficient support to contemporary education, research and services. The construction of a new building or building ensemble, the new home of the Department of Biology, is urgently needed.
The University of Antwerp has the ambition to develop a sustainable, efficient, future-oriented research building or building ensemble with a unique identity for the Department of Biology for, among others, students, research groups, employees and visitors of UAntwerp.

Submission Criteria
Qualification requires the submission of:
– Standard declarations and ESPD.
– Architect’s registration
– Insurance certificates
– Team Composition
– CVs
– Three reference projects which the firm has carried out in its own name from the last five years. Must demonstrate experience of designing a public building (preferably but not exclusively a public educational institution with laboratory infrastructure), at least one project over €20m, and at least one with blue-green or public space.
