Demolition and new construction of a multi-storey performing arts venue including a theatre hall with a capacity of 220 seats. The project will necessarily also include various ancillary and supporting facilities such as rehearsal and workshop areas, changing rooms, catering area, kitchen, reception, work and office space.

Submission Criteria
The five highest-scoring candidates will be invited to submit a tender. Each will receive €5k for producing a sketch design.
Qualification submission includes:
– Applicant details, architect’s registration, bidding model, exclusion declarations
– €1m PII
– Reference projects which demonstrate experience of designing a multifunctional culture-related building of at least 2,000sqm, using BIM, for each discipline.
– A1 mood board demonstrating how the new building will fit the spirit of the site.
– Description of how the facility will be spatially shaped to become a cultural breeding ground for performing arts.
– Explanation of how a sustainable and flexible building will be achieved.
